A November to Remember: Seagrove Cafe Grand Opening and a Family Farm Upgrade
Gratitude: November has been a month of milestones and community spirit for us at Holly Hill Farm. From the joyous opening of our cafe in Seagrove to the rewarding family farm project in Albemarle, North Carolina, the past few weeks have been nothing short of amazing.
Opening the Doors to Seagrove Cafe: On November 18th, Holly Hill Farm welcomed the community of Seagrove into our new business at Seagrove Cafe. The support and enthusiasm we've received have been overwhelming. From the carefully crafted menu to the cozy ambiance, every detail was designed with our customers in mind. We are thrilled to be a part of the Seagrove community and look forward to becoming a local favorite gathering spot.
A 4th generation garden in Albemarle: But our journey in November didn't end there. In Albemarle, Holly Hill Farm embarked on a different kind of project—one that goes beyond the four walls of our cafe. We are proud to contribute to a fourth-generation family farm, paying homage to the kitchen garden of the past. Here, we are building raised beds, nurturing an herb garden, and planting a fruit and nut orchard.
Water Harvesting Earthworks: At the heart of this farm project lies the commitment to foudnaitn. Water harvesting earthworks are being implemented to create a solid foundation for the kitchen garden. By harnessing rainwater, we aim to minimize our environmental impact and create a self-sustaining ecosystem.
A Multipurpose Fence- Deer Mitigation and Vine Trellising: Our efforts to protect the kitchen garden take a multi-functional approach. The deer fence we are building will not only safeguard the crops but also serve as trellising for vines like muscadine and jessamine. This dual-purpose design not only enhances the functionality of the fence but adds a touch of natural beauty to the garden.
Gratitude for Community Support: As we reflect on the whirlwind that was November, we want to express our deepest gratitude to the communities of Seagrove and Albemarle. Your support has fueled our passion and inspired us to continue making a positive impact. Together, we are not just building a cafe or tending a family farm; we are cultivating connections and fostering a sense of togetherness.
Looking Ahead: As we step into December, Holly Hill Farm carries the warmth of community support and the satisfaction of contributing to something bigger than ourselves. There are exciting times ahead, and we can't wait to share more moments of growth, collaboration, and success with all of you.
Thank you for being a part of our journey.
